Meet Kara W

Growing up I always thought I would want to be in the hair industry in some fashion but never thought the front desk would be where my passion would lie. I am originally from Richmond, VA which is where my personality and talents thrived to interact with guests and find a level of service where I can assist in the salon pampering experience. I attended college in Lynchburg, VA and received my undergrad in Family and Consumer Science in 2006 and later received my masters in Marriage and Family Counseling. I had the opportunity to work at a couple different salons in Lynchburg and most recently had an excellent mentor teach me how to be successful as a reservationist and perfect my knowledge in customer service. My goal is to provide quality, friendly service for all guest both in person and over the phone. Assist in maintaining a trendy but quaint environment that is constantly growing and improving.

I married my husband in 2013 and became a step-mother to three great kids after meeting while helping with a church plant in Roanoke, VA. My husband’s job moved us to Gloucester in the fall of 2018 and I was thrilled to have found another family-orientated team to be part of here.

Aside from my career, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling (especially cruises) and anything involving good food, good wine and good conversation. Fun Fact: I hate mint! I cannot stand the smell or taste. After getting married, I made my husband and step kids change their toothpaste it was so bad
